Virtual Reality Activations South Africa has been at the forefront of the VR revolution since 1995. Long before virtual reality became a household name, our founder, Gerald Ferreira, launched an ambitious project: a 360° virtual tour of Klerksdorp, South Africa. This innovative initiative showcased the city's vibrant landscape and foresaw the transformative power of VR technology.
By the early 2000s, while many in the tech industry were still exploring VR's potential, Gerald Ferreira was already breaking new ground. In 2002, he developed a state-of-the-art VR software tool that caught the attention of major industry players and was subsequently acquired by Anglo American. This milestone marked the beginning of our commitment to pushing the boundaries of virtual reality.
